Srikanta Movie Review
Rating :- 3/5 Reviewed by: Sunayana Suresh Site: TimesofIndia
The protagonist’s behaviour and actions are unlike most commercial heroes and it is hard to imagine someone as detached as Srikanta. The romantic track, too, is rather unbelievable but eventually adds to the screenplay. The film has some interesting scenes and sequences that are touched upon. These also hint at some of the oft spoken controversies in recent times, like the Hublot watch episode and other such scandals of politicians. The only bit is that these seem too rushed.

The film is the usual story of exploitation of the politicians of the poor people. But in making it the tale of one character, Swaraj gives the audience a journey to experience. Except for a few moral sermons, the film is practical just like the protagonist. The screenplay is what makes the film special. Srikanta is giving a lift to a journalist (Vijay Raghavendra) in his cab. His life is revealed through flashbacks even as these two encounter various situations that shows that truth and falsehood do not always come in a single shade.
