Martyred Jawans’ Families Receive Rs 1.08 crore From Akshay Kumar


Martyred jawans’ families receive Rs 1.08 crore from Akshay Kumar, reveals a source. The families of twelve slain jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has received Rs.1.08 crores from Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.

After a group of the Naxals’ armed militia ambushed a road opening party (ROP) in the area’s Bheji village, the brave jawans were killed in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Akshay was in constant touch with IPS officer Amit Lodha, DIG of Jaisalmer sector north.

On learning of this encounter, Akshay had requested Amit Lodha to send the details of the slain jawans’ family members. Akshay is reported to have gone through the details and then decided to donate money to these families. He expressed his desire to Lodha, of donating Rs.9 lakhs to each of the family.

This noble deed of Akshay’s proves that he is a gem of a person and is full of humanity. This act of Akshay’s has been hailed by people.

Praising Akshay for his noble deed, DIG Amit Lodha stated, “Akshay himself has been in touch with me and he keeps enquiring about incidents and when I told him about the Sukma incident he immediately told me he would like to contribute and do his bit for the families of the martyred jawans, we are all grateful to him for this kind gesture.”

Akshay’s action speaks more than his words! The actor is known for his charitable work without publicizing. This puts him in a different stature altogether.
